Interns will be given opportunities to learn and participate in all aspects of artist management, including artist strategy and personal management, legal & business affairs, touring & booking, publicity, radio promotion, distribution, and publishing & rights administration. Interns will receive meaningful assignments, participate in discussions with clients and other industry professionals, and receive continuous personal education and mentorship from Austin Hill. Internship hours are flexible; an internship office at ATX Management’s office on Music Row will be available to interns during normal business hours.
ATX Management currently has 5 developing acts on its artist roster:
K Phillips (Nashville) - K Phillips is pop-Americana, roots, and rock n' roll, in the vein of Van Morrison, The Band, and the Counting Crows. As artists like Anderson East, Nathaniel Rateliff and Sturgill Simpson sweep the nation, a new era of great American music is ushered in, and K Phillips has emerged as a songwriting force and dynamic performer not quite like anyone else. K Phillips' sophomore LP, Dirty Wonder, is expected to be released in late 2016, to include the song "Hadrian" featuring Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows.
The Roomsounds (Dallas) - The owner of legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL calls The Roomsounds “the future of rock ‘n’ roll.” With a fresh sound and smart songs that draw on the likes of Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, The Rolling Stones, and Big Star, it seems this Dallas band may be just that. Their sophomore album, due out March 25, was recorded at FAME Studios after the legendary studio's owner came across The Roomsounds' first album.
Somebody’s Darling (Nashville) - "Somebody's Darling have all the elements you would expect from a Southern rock band: Lead singer Amber Farris' commanding vocals, dominant guitars, powerful drums, and lyrics that make you pay attention." -CULTURE COLLiDE
Vandoliers (Fort Worth) - "Even though they only started playing shows earlier this year, the Vandoliers shot into the DFW music scene like a round from a six shooter. The alt-country outfit led by Joshua Fleming, known as the leader for 2014 DOMA Best Punk Act winner the Phuss, plays an aggressive blend of country, rock and Americana. The songs are catchy and the personality is contagious. Equal parts Stetson and rock ‘n’ roll, the Vandoliers are one of the most exciting new bands to hit the DFW music scene this year, and definitely one of the best local country acts around." Brandon Mikeal, Dallas Observer
Don Gallardo (Nashville) - Don Gallardo has called Nashville home for 8 years, but his California roots shine through on the upcoming LP, Hickory, where Gallardo weaves his 1970’s Laurel Canyon influences into modern roots-Americana. The Telegraph calls Hickory, released in the UK by Clubhouse Records, “One of the Best Country Music Albums of 2015” along with Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Patty Griffin, Justin Townes Earle, & more. MOJO Magazine gave Hickory “4 Stars” and Maverick Magazine calls Gallardo “the real deal”. Gallardo’s work has been prominently featured in films "Jolene" and Jackass Presents "Bad Grandpa" as well as highly popular television series, "The Vampire Diaries" and ABC's "Nashville.”
