Discovering Arts Music Group currently has numerous opportunities for intern to join their team, based in London, UK. You will be working as part of a young friendly and fast paced team and will gain valuable experience working alongside the core music team.

Discovering Arts Music Group (DAMG) is a London-based music company that believes in business at the front and Music is at the back, (whereby, we protect the artists and their music ). DAMG is providing a single home for Artists, which is comprise of 7 core businesses:

The following internships are available:
  • Database Entry Internship
    • Organising over 20,000 contacts globally using special software to input and organise data such as 'tmailer' on a global scale
    • Making sure all contact are backed up on a daily basis into a cloud and hard drives.
    • Making sure all database are up to date like names, emails, numbers and info
    • Researching and updating contacts on a global scale
    • Inputting information into spreadsheets
  • Live Events Intern
    • We are looking for an intern to organise our promotion street team online and to help with other tasks that need doing throughout the office from uploading music to proof reading documents. Interns have the unique ability to work in multiple departments (Label Relations, Marketing, A&R, Office Administration, and Operations) where they can develop a deep understanding of the music industry on the whole. You will be working as part of a young friendly and fast paced team and will gain valuable experience working alongside the core The role requires a person who is confident with MS Office (Word, Outlook, etc.) and the person needs to be organised as well as reliable. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to go in.
  • Graphic Design Intern
    • Opportunity for a cutting edge budding creative designer to come and join our head office team, based in London. You will be working as part of a young friendly and fast paced team and will gain valuable experience working alongside the core music team. You need to be able to commit to the placement, we would prefer full time but we are flexible. 
  • IT Technical Support Intern
    • Understanding of administration of all Windows servers and familiarity with Linux server systems.
    • Understanding of troubleshooting basic network, software,troubleshooting skills knowledge of server applications
    • Understanding of network technologies
    • Understanding of Microsoft SQL databases.
    • Understanding of working with Linux and scripting is a plus
    • Rack/stack servers in server room
    • Performing routine audits of systems and software and performing daily backups
    • Understanding of Installing new servers and configure hardware.
    • Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP and SSL protocols
    • Familiarity with basic networking concepts
    • Familiar with web site tools, such as Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5, WYSWYG editors

  • Music Publishing and Sync Intern
    • Knowledge of music publishing activities
  • PHP Developer Intern
    • We are looking for an exceptional candidate who loves internet technology, to maintain and developour front-end and back office technical systems. Core skills required include PHP, MySQL, Apache, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX along with a strong understanding of scalable architectural principles. For any internal IT support required, experience with end-user support on Win7/OSX along with a friendly manner will be a bonus! We’re looking for an energetic, motivated developer with excellent communication skills, who is excited about making a difference in a fast-moving music environment. We’re a small team and so you’ll be equally happy chipping in to help support our internal network/platforms on an adhoc basis as required.
  • PR Press Office Intern
    • We are looking for an enthusiastic, music loving, media savvy PR person. The successfulcandidate needs to have had some experience in music PR and be keen to work in the day-to-day implementation of the press media strategy.

    • Assisting in securing press coverage. This includes answering media enquiries and following- up products sent.
    • Press Releases: strong writing skills for assisting in press release writing and research
    • Launch Events: Assist at events for new music event launches.
  • Radio PR Plugger Intern
    • Someone who is highly motivated, possibly had some university radio or local radio experience, loves music, somebody who can talk openly on the phone, excellent communication skills, and not afraid to meet and interact with new people. The duties of the position will include, mail-outs to radio DJs and Club DJs, researching & learning the complete schedules and all DJs and producers of every radio station. You must also have good admin skills including Word, Outlook and Excel and be keen to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Ruby (on rails) Engineer Intern
    • Experience with:

  • SEO Social Media Marketing Intern
    • Day-to-day you will need to go above and beyond to ensure our online presence receives the boost it needs that will skyrocket our popularity and really get us noticed! You’ll need to know about SEO, Google Ads and build our presence online. This will involve reporting internally and externally to show progression and results using a range of web ranking tools, site analytics and performance stats. You will develop an in-depth understanding of Google Adwords. You must display a basic level of SEO and internet marketing knowledge. Experience of working with spread sheets (i.e. MS excel) is key, and you are able to work to tight deadlines. This isn’t about photocopying and coffee runs. We want someone who is going to add real value to the business, and in return we will make sure that you learn tons and get exposure to things you never would in a larger company.
  • TV PR Plugger Intern
    • Someone who is highly motivated, possibly had some university TV PR or local TV experience, loves music, somebody who can talk openly on the phone, excellent communication skills, and not afraid to meet and interact with new people.   • Website HTML 5 Wordpress Intern
    • HTML 5, Wordpress Web site, Programmer/Coders.
  • Fashion PR Intern
    • Assist with any press events Desirable Skills & Requirements Graduate (or equivalent) in the study of public relations or some relevant marketing communications discipline 
    • Proven PR experience in a luxury fashion environment is desirable but not essential
    • Discreet, professional and excellent spoken/written and communication skills
    • Excellent eye for detail, time-management, and multitasking skills
    • Ability to work within an evolving and fast-paced environment
    • Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
