14 Reasons to Apply to GRAMMY Camp

GRAMMY Camp applications are due on Sunday and if you're a US high school student who has been thinking about applying but is still feeling a bit hesitant then it's your last chance to decide and get that audition video in. So, if you're still not sure, then here's 14 reasons to apply to GRAMMY Camp (I know lists like this tend to stick with 10 but I couldn't narrow them down).

  1. Learn from top music industry professionals
  2. Meet and work with fellow music students from all over the country
  3. Get professional advice from guest artists and industry professionals
  4. Put on a Showcase concert or Launch Party in Los Angeles or New York at the end of camp
  5. Spend your entire day focused on performing, talking about, and learning about music
  6. Collaborate with students in other tracks to write, record, create and present new songs, CDs, and business ideas
  7. Learn what it takes to succeed in a career as a performer, engineer, producer, songwriter, music journalist, or music business person
  8. Work in a top-notch recording studio at USC or Converse's Rubber Tracks
  9. Networking opportunities with music professionals
  10. Spend part of your summer in one (or two) of the most culturally and musically rich cities in the country
  11. Past guest performers have included Matthew Morrison, Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat, members of Maroon 5, and more 
  12. Historically, most students who apply for financial aid get it
  13. Gain valuable experience and a portfolio of projects for your college applications
  14. Professionally focused field trips give you a chance to visit places like a venue or studio
