Internship Opportunity at Vision Entertainment

Vision Entertainment was formed in September, 2011 by Clay Neuman, co-founder of the APEX Music radio promotions firm and the APEX Nashville record label.  Vision is a full-service radio promotions firm and recording label, based in Nashville, Tennessee – rooted in the release and promotion of Texas Country and Red Dirt music to stations reporting to the Texas Music Chart and the Texas Regional Radio Report, but also possessing significant national outlets and progressive efforts to further brand independent music to a wider audience.

The promotion efforts of APEX Music scored over 100 #1 singles on the Texas Music Chart, from its launch in 2001 until September 2011.  Since its formation in September 2011, through July 2012, singles released by Vision Entertainment have held the #1 position for 21 out of 37 weeks, and for 14 weeks in 2012 alone.

Job Description
Intern will assist promotions representatives with communication to radio stations, regarding the promotion of current singles. Intern will also be responsible for the promotion of singles to internet stations who report to the TexNet50 Chart.  The coordination and solicitation of artist radio tours, as well as the communication of formal confirmations, will also be an essential responsibility.  Intern will also assist with administrative functions and executive assistant duties, and field incoming calls.

Relevant Experience
Intern must display a strong work ethic and a passion for growth in an independent music company.  A working knowledge of key artists, radio stations, and the unique attributes of the Texas Country and Red Dirt scene are preferred, and any prior experience with the routing of artist radio tours is a plus.  Intern must be comfortable with phone and written communication, and a proficiency of organization regarding internal company affairs.  Attention to detail and a mastery of basic computer skills are a must.
