Preparing for an interview can be tough with a small budget. Fortunately, today it is possible to find great fashion at nearly any price. Here's the first of a new feature designed to help. We'll be featuring some current, seasonal interview and office apparel for low budgets for both men and women.
This ensemble starts with some basic black, flared dress pants for only $20 at Kohl's . Add another basic item, a white long-sleeve buttoned shirt. This one is only $12 right now at Walmart. Pair that with a gray, 3/4 length V-neck sweater and a skinny belt with covered belt buckle at your waist to pull the look together and add a bit more polish. For shoes, pointed patent leather heels adds a bit of shine and flair and work well when the outfit is simple. Lastly, though not a requirement, I couldn't resist adding the bag to the mix because it combines a sleek, professional look with color and personality and that is something the music industry tends to embrace. It seems a lot of people like the bag too because it sold out on every site, but it is available in stores at Target. Though, between the bag and the shoes, be sure to keep jewelry very simple to avoid too much shine. The entire outfit costs 119.77. If you're looking to spend less you can probably save some money by finding a few of these or similar items in your closet or skipping the bag.
